Muslim Pro: Ramadan 2017 is a religious app that gives you the chance to find out prayer timings and Qibla direction wherever in the world you are. If you are a practicing Muslim and want to keep up with your religion on the go, Muslim Pro: Ramadan 2017 should be your go-to app. The app comes with a plethora of features and it basically has everything that you need to be able to perform your religious duties as a Muslim. From recitations from Quran to Namaz timings and from providing you information of nearby mosques wherever you are to sharing Duas, you can have it all at your disposal with this app on your phone.
The Muslim app greets you with a salaam and takes in information about the city you live in. This information is important as features like Namaz timings, Islamic calendar, nearby mosques and Qibla direction are entirely dependent on where you live and where you are when using the app.
The app's homepage is a condensed version of its main features. The main focus is on the time for the next prayer. It shows the actual time of the prayer as well as the time left. The app also plays the adhan by overriding other apps at the time of the prayer. This is a good feature but this is turned on automatically. You will have to go to 'settings" and put the feature on silent to simply get a notification with no voice. Other than that, the app also previews the calendar, verse of the day, duas and greeting card features on the home page. You can hop on to "Prayers", "Quran" and "Qibla" by tapping at the bottom of the home page screen. To use other features, you will have to tap on "More" and then select the feature from the list which includes "Community", "Messages", "Islamic Calendar", "Duas", "Popular Suras & Verses", "Tasbih", "Mosque", "Halal Places", 'shahadah", "99 Names" and "Zakat".
"Quran" is probably the Muslim app's best feature as you can both read the Quran and listen to it in the voice of Saad Al Ghamdi. It would have been great if there was more choice in recitations but still, the app puts the whole Quran in your palm and that's great on its own. You do require an internet connection to listen to the recitation though. You can also add notes for different verses and favorite a few verses as well for future referencing. "Mosque" and "Halal Places" are also internet connection dependent features. You can find a nearby mosques and halal places with ease with the exact distance of the places from your current location given as well. "Islamic Calendar" gives you accurate dates of the Islamic calendar with a projection of the important dates coming up. From the expected date of "Eid" to the expected date of a coming month, the projection is fairly accurate and would keep you updated with the important Islamic festivals and occasions.
